Ian J. Ball's TV Archive Page:
My TV FAQs & Episode Guides:
This TV site was last updated: June 30, 2005.
On the web since 1995!
|
|
This site has undergone an overhaul. This is what
is going on:
- This page will no longer be the main "portal" into my TV
website - this page will now become my "TV Archives"
page. Recent TV news will no longer be reported out of
this page. Instead, this page will host my library of older
TV FAQs & Episode Guides.
- My "main" TV page, for recent TV news, etc., will now be
My TV Blog.
- See also: The rec.arts.tv FAQ,
my TV Shows Status Page
and my Commentary Page.
|
|
|
Before you ask any questions about this TV-related
site, please read the FAQ for
this website which will answer many of these questions!
Questions about obtaining TV series on DVDs. tapes, etc. should
be directed to the usenet newsgroup
rec.arts.tv,
or to other TV related newsgroups or web sites, or (for current shows) to
the network that airs
the show or to the production company
that produces the show.
Welcome to my TV page (provided through
Mac.com)!
My TV Web site has been created so that people may
access my several TV FAQ's and episode guides (including
the rec.arts.tv FAQ) in their most up-to-date forms.

The text versions of all of my TV FAQs and episode guides can also be
obtained from my this site:

The TV Archive:
Back in the day, when I was starting Grad
School (c. 1993), and I first discovered the usenet newsgroups,
I soon realized that several of the oddball shows that I watched
(e.g. Saved by the Bell, which
I got heavily addicted to during my first year of Grad School)
were lacking episode guides, and so many people had no idea how
many episodes of some of these shows they had seen and how many
that had yet to see. That is what got me started writing things
like the Saved by the Bell FAQ & Episode Guide, and the
rec.arts.tv FAQ.
Since those days, I have graduated Grad School,
and moved on to the adult world, and I've pretty much given up
on writing episode guides (though I may still do a "Grading the
Episodes" guide/review of any show that catches my fancy).
In any
case, what follows are the Episode Guides and Reviews that I
finished during those days. They are divided into five sections:
The Saved by the Bell FAQ & Episode Guide,
the "Grading the Episodes" Reviews
section, the Episode Guides for long-running
(Primetime) series,
the Episode Guides for "One-Season Wonders",
and finally the Episode Guides for "Teen
TV Sitcoms". Have fun with them!

The SbtB site was last updated: July 2, 2004.
This version of the SbtB FAQ: 2.35
The original website for Saved by the Bell
(the result of that first year of Grad School addiction I
was talking about...) can be found via The

SbtB site includes the following (as well as info about the
recent DVD releases of SbtB,tOS):
|
|
|
|
|

episode guide of all the episodes for
Good Morning, Miss Bliss (Disney Channel: 1987), and
Saved by the Bell, the original series (NBC/T-NBC: 1989-93),
as well as the Hawaii TV Movie. Also containts
the history of the show
(including "continuity errors") selected trivia;
the words to the theme song;
and a list of other TV and movie roles that each of the main
actors has been in.
|
Includes an
episode guide, series information,
the history of the
Saved by the Bell: The College Years (NBC: 1993-94)
TV show, as well as
the Wedding in Las Vegas TV Movie.
Also includes a list of the other roles of the actors

two seasons - I never
liked The New Class (not original! not funny!),
so I
gave up on the show after
its second season.

|
|
This part of my TV website contains
individual episode reviews (with
each episode having a graded score), rather than generic "episode
guides" with individual episode plot synopses. As a result, these
two sites are more liable to conatin plot Spoilers...

Networks, in their infinite wisdom, inevitably pull the plug
on some of their best shows after just one season (or less),
despite the fact that these shows are better than most other
network fare, and despite the fact that the networks usually
kill these shows themselves by placing them in bad timeslots.
But at least some of these shows will
not be forgotten! (at least if I have anything to say about it!). Right
now, I have guides for 3 "One Season Wonders"
from 1993, 1994 and 1996 (there are 2 other "one season wonder" guides
that can be found in the Teen TV Shows
section, below).

"What's with all these episode guides
for 'teen' sitcoms?!" you ask; see my
TV FAQ for the
answer. However, I should note that when California Dreams ended
its run on NBC in 1997, I discontinued all of my guides for the various T-NBC shows.
Basically, after the first season of Hang Time and the end of the
run of California Dreams,
the remaining shows on T-NBC did not yield nearly enough entertainment
value to justify watching them regularly. So, at
this time, I am not doing any guides for any 'teen' TV shows. Will
I start another one soon? Eh, probably not...
The main draw in this genre is probably my Saved by the Bell FAQ,
which was (believe it or not) the original Saved by the Bell site
on the web.
The following episode guides can be found
here:
Last updated: July 2, 2004.
This version: 2.35
As stated above, the Saved by the Bell Home
