Later, while fooling around in a sporting goods store, Ashley, with Dylan as an accomplice, breaks a store-front display, where both are captured by security, getting them into trouble with their parents. Meanwhile, poor student Dylan worries about an important test that could affect his spot on the soccer team, while Jermaine just worries about making the team at all. Naomi, Hunter, Vijal, Emily Gordon, and the Roberts (Mike Sr., Colleen and Mike Jr.) are also introduced. Episode 1.2 (#63952): "Homecoming" 10/07/00 Mike Jr. teases Dylan about his friendship with Ashley, but Dylan's parents are apprehensive that Dylan is still hanging around with "the girl from the mall". Nonetheless, the Roberts invite Ashley to dinner. Meanwhile, Naomi tries to get Jermaine to invite her to the Homecoming Dance, a dance Dylan has no intention of going to because "he can't dance". Episode 1.3 (#63953): "State of Emergency" 10/14/00 Ashley's mom freaks out when she comes home and finds Ashley, Dylan and Jermaine napping on Ashley's bed, so Ashley's Mom forbids Ashley from having boys in the house unsupervised. But Ashley resents these rules, and feels like her mother doesn't trust her. Ashley finds her Mom's rules impossible to follow when a huge storm hits, and school is cancelled, forcing Dylan and Jermaine to take refuge in Ashley's house until Mike, Jr. comes to rescue them, just as Emily Gordon comes home. Episode 1.4 (#63954): "The Right Question" 10/21/00 When Dylan and Ashley start an online dating service for their classmates, the result is trouble. The reason: Their questionnaire asks for superficial criteria about looks and race, rather than likes and dislikes, and the students lash out at their shallow Cupids. Realizing the error of their ways, Dylan comes up with a single question that leads to the pairing up of some pretty cool couples. Meanwhile, Jermaine fears he may have made a mistake by shooting down a not-so-secret admirer, Naomi. Episode 1.5 (#63955): "Totally Random" 10/28/00 Dylan and Jermaine convince Ashley to go to Naomi's big party (which Naomi is throwing while her parents are once again out of town). But things take an unexpected turn when a young hothead brings a gun to the party, menaces Dylan, and then shoots the gun, bringing the attention of the cops. Dylan's dilemma: does he tell anyone that he knows who the gun-toting kid is, or does he keep quiet, guaranteeing that the young 'tough' will leave him alone? Episode 1.6 (#63962): "Washed Up" 11/04/00 Ashley is on a mission to do a charity car & animal wash to raise money for an animal shelter, and she has pressed all her friends, including Dylan, Jermaine, Naomi, Hunter, Mr. Pena, and her mom, into service. But Dylan discovers that there is a skateboarding tournament, one that he's a synch to win, on the same day. Making matters more touchy, not only does this mean Dylan will have to miss out on most of Ashley's car & animal wash, but it's also making Ashley jealous because Dylan is hanging out with an attractive fellow skater pal named Molly (Tristin Leffler), who may have a crush on Dylan. Meanwhile, Ashley is a terrible manager at the car & animal wash, as she is bossy and curt with everyone... Episode 1.7 (#63956): "One for the Road" 11/11/00 One evening, an unsupervised Dylan and Ashley get into her mom's wine, and are soon totally hammered. The drunken duo then go to a diner where they make fools of themselves in front of Naomi & Hunter (not to mention their waitress), and then Mike Jr. & his date. Pretty soon, everyone is disgusted with the both of them, including their parents, Mike Jr., and even Jermaine, and the two pay a heavy price for their foolishness, especially Dylan with his recovering alcoholic father, Mike Sr. Episode 1.8 (#63957): "The Tutor" 11/18/00 Dylan is frantically studying for an upcoming history exam, because he's sick of doing badly in school, but he's not making much progress. So Ashley suggests that she help him study using some different techniques she has devised. But Dylan becomes convinced he will be a failure at life after he does poorly on the history exam, despite his hours of hard work and Ashley's tutoring of him. However, Ashley is convinced that something else is going on, and she calls in Mike Jr. to help him convince Mr. Pena to look at the possibility that Dylan has a hard-to-diagnose learning disability. Episode 1.9 (#63958): "Have Your Cake" 11/25/00 Ashley tries to deny her jealously when Dylan begins giving more of his time and attention to attractive fellow skateboarder, Molly (Tristin Leffler; see episode 1.6, "Washed Up"), but she's failing! Meanwhile, Ashley attempts to help an annoyed Naomi face her eating disorder. [Cribbed from NBC's episode guide at http://www.nbc.com/Just_Deal/.] Episode 1.10 (#63959): "Getting Inked" 12/02/00 After the gang gets fake ID's from Hunter, Jermaine insists upon getting a tatoo from a shady inker, after refusing to listen to either Mr. Pena or his mother. But his tatoo soon becomes infected, forcing Jermaine to hide the truth from Pena and his mother. Meanwhile, Ashley and Naomi want to use their fake ID's to get into a hot nightclub (but the bouncer sees through their plan). Once Jermaine is found out, Pena is ordered to shut down the fake ID supplier, who Pena strongly suspects is Hunter, while dissatisfied customers Ashley and Naomi lead a refund rebellion against Hunter. Episode 1.11 (#63960): "Joyride" 12/09/00 Dylan is excited as he finally has his Learner's Driving Permit, but he hasn't quite mastered the art of careful driving, at least as far as his Dad is concerned. Meanwhile, Jermaine is doing an extra credit science project involving model rockets, and he's so obsessed with breaking the 3,000 ft flight barrier that's he's obtained a special, risky rocket fuel to do it. But when Dylan and Ashley accidentally dispose of Jermaine's rocket fuel, illegal driver Dylan takes Jermaine and Ashley (in his brother, Mike Jr's, car !) to get some more of the fuel. The result is that Jermaine beats his target, but his errant rocket means that Dylan won't get off easy for taking his brother's car for a "joyride" without permission... Episode 1.12 (#63961): "With the Band" 12/16/00 Dylan and Jermaine persuade Ashley (with the help of $10) to leave school grounds during lunch to get their CD signed by the hot local band, _Flip Nixon_, at the mall. When Naomi hears of this, she tags along with Ash . But, once there, _Flip Nixon's_ impromptu concert runs late, and Ash wants to leave. Naomi blows Ashley off to have lunch with a cute guy, so Ashley gets on her bike to ride back to school. But, on her way, a van hits her, populated by none other than _Flip Nixon_ themselves! While the band insists on taking Ashley to the hospital, her absence begins to worry Dylan and Jermaine (who blame Naomi for Ashley's disappearance), then Mr. Pena, and then finally Emily Gordon (who's virtually panic- stricken). Episode 1.13 (#63963): "Uncovered" 12/30/00 When Mr. Pena gives a permission request form to Ashley to give to her mom, it's revealed that Mr. Pena previously requested permission from all of his students' parents so that he could write their cases up for his Dissertation (and possibly publish an article). This makes Ashley uncomfortable and, soon enough, everyone from Naomi to Dylan are up in arms about the public airing of their personal issues, putting Mr. Pena in a difficult position, and compromising the trust he's built up with his students. Naomi is concerned that Pena's notes will reveal how screwed up she really is. Meanwhile, Dylan's main concern? That Ashley will find out how he really feels about her, which ends up forcing the issue for him, and "Uncovered" ends with Dylan finally asking Ashley out on a "real" date. 1.3) The Episode Guide for Season 2 Episode 2.1 (#63964): "Second Date" 09/08/01 Just as Ashley and Dylan's romance takes flight, it begins to stall as their anxieties (some prompted by friendly and parental advice) take over, leading to awkwardness. Thus comes Naomi to the "rescue": she convinces Ashley to ask Dylan out to dinner on a second, "official" date. Needless to say, things don't go well. [NOTE: No mention is made of the sudden disappearance of Mr. Pena.] Episode 2.2 (#63972): "Picture Day" 09/22/01 Ashley is made to feel worse and worse on school Picture Day as a pimple on her nose grows bigger and bigger and bigger. And her vanity about it only leads to more grief for her. Meanwhile, when Dylan and Jermaine see Naomi at the office Jermaine's father (who's a plastic surgeon), they wonder if Naomi's vanity has prompted her to go "under the knife". Episode 2.3 (#63965): "Low Fidelity" 09/29/01 Jermaine gets a job at a hip record shop and is immediately smitten by his beautiful co-worker, Kim (new regular, Kandyse McClure), who can dance, spin and is downright cool. Unfortunately for Jermaine, she already has a boyfriend. And when he tries to talk to Dylan and Ash about it, they are so "into their own relationship" that they don't listen. Meanwhile, Dylan's parents invite Ashley's mother over for the first time but things go horribly when Dylan's parents' conservative political views, and Emily Gordon's liberal views, clash badly. Episode 2.4 (#63966): "School Prayer" 10/06/01 When Dylan asks his soccer teammates to join him in a pre-game prayer, most of his teammate Kyle (Jesse Moss) objects (and Jermaine basically agrees with Kyle) to Dylan's interjection of religion into a secular activity, and the result is that Dylan is suspended from the team until he apologizes to his teammates. But Dylan feels he doesn't have anything to apologize for. A side result of this is that it inspires Ashley to explore her own Jewish faith. Meanwhile, Naomi finally asks Hunter out on a date, to the ballet! Episode 2.5 (#63967): "Painted Love" 10/13/01 Just as Ashley is about to publicly display her artwork at a local gallery, her old artist boyfriend from San Francisco, Josh (Antonio Cupo) shows up in town. At first, Dylan tries not to mind, but he soon becomes jealous at the obvious closeness and history between Ashley and Josh, and he fears that he may lose Ashley to her old flame. Ashley tries to convince Dylan otherwise. Meanwhile, Jermaine may have to move to Washington, D.C. when his mother gets a job in the Bush administration. So Kim asks Jermaine why he doesn't just move in with his father instead. Episode 2.6 (#63968): "The Perfect Mix" 10/20/01 While out bowling with the gang (including Kim, and her boyfriend), Ashley sees her mother, Emily, out on a date, and Ash freaks! But if that wasn't bad enough, it's even worse because Emily's date was with Ashley's art teacher (Woody Jeffreys). Meanwhile, Kim's boyfriend (P.J. Prinsloo) asks Jermaine to help him mix a CD for her birthday. Episode 2.7 (#63969): "Home Sweet Home" 10/27/01 Jermaine is having a lot of trouble adjusting to living with his new family, especially his new stepmom, Angela (Angela Moore), who Jermaine feels is trying to interfere in his life. And he feels even more alienated when his father (William Taylor) keeps coming down on him. But Kim wonders if Jermaine is overreacting. Meanwhile, as Ashley and Dylan study together for midterms, his grades improve while hers plummet. Episode 2.8 (#63970): "Motel Hell" 11/03/01 Stranded away from home on a biking trip, Dylan, Ashley, Jermaine and Kim spend the night in a motel room, alone. While Jermaine enjoys the ensuing freedom with Kim, Dylan and Ashley feel uncomfortable about the "sex" issue resulting from the whole situation. Meanwhile, their parents don't take the news of this well, at all. Episode 2.9 (#63971): "Urban Legend" 11/10/01 In a Halloween inspired episode, each one of the gang has a different story describing a tragedy that supposedly befell a couple at their high school 30 years ago. Episode 2.10 (#63972): "Woman's Work" 11/17/01 As a twist to "Take Your Daughter to Work Day", Ashley accompanies Colleen Roberts to the hospital (Ashley isn't interested in her mom's journalism job), while Naomi jumps at the chance to go to work with Emily Gordon at the newspaper. Meanwhile, at school, Dylan and Jermaine spend the day finding out from Coach (Steve Bacic) what it takes to be "a real man", and it's not what they expect. Episode 2.11 (#63973): "Under Suspicion" 11/24/01 Just as Kim breaks up with her boyfriend, Jason (P.J. Prinsloo), Jermaine accuses him of stealing CDs (specifically, a mix CD that he made for Ashley) and reselling them at the record store. Meanwhile, Dylan's peculiar behavior leads his parents to suspect that he's on drugs, but it's his late night phone chats with Ashley that are the real culprit for his red eyes and sleepiness. Episode 2.12 (#63974): "Dojo Mojo" 12/01/01 Naomi is filming a "self defense" video, and she asks Ashley to be the "victim". As a result, Ashley has to rearrange her entire day to accommodate Dylan's schedule - Ashley wants to go to the museum with him, after he visits his aunt and uncle. But when he gets back from his aunt and uncle's, he get distracted by sports on the TV, and misses his museum date with Ashley, angering Naomi and infuriating Ashley. Meanwhile, after Benny advises Jermaine that they way to get Kim to notice him is to make her jealous, Jermaine asks Naomi to flirt with him at the video shoot. Episode 2.13 (#63976): "Passages" 12/08/01 Ashley's and Dylan's relationship is jeopardized when she is forced to choose between a camping trip with Dylan's family or a summer arts program in San Francisco (i.e. where Josh is). Meanwhile, against his parent's wishes, Mike Jr. wants his high school graduation party to have the traditional celebratory mainstay: beer. But Mr. Roberts says "No". 1.3) The Episode Guide for Season 2 Episode 3.1 (#64551): "Passages" 05/04/02 Both Dylan and Ashley return from their summer vacations with secrets. But Ashley's is more the serious one. Dylan spent part of his summer with his childhood friend (whom Dylan has no romantic interest in), Laurel (new cast regular, Jewel Staite), and Jermaine is surprised to find out that she's an attractive girl. So Dylan neglects to tell Ash the truth about his friend "Lucky". But Ashley not only spent the summer with Josh (Antonio Cupo) and didn't tell Dylan - she *kissed* Josh! twice! And Ashley is rightly worried that telling the truth will end her relationship with Dylan. So Ashley doesn't tell him, but their relationship is awkward, all the same. Meanwhile, new student Mandy (new cast member, Jennifer Anne Carmichael) gets a job at Vinyl Frontier when Benny gets a new cappuccino machine, but only Mandy knows how to operate it. [NOTE: Naomi appears in a one or two scenes in this episode. Hunter is neither scene, nor referred to.] Episode 3.2 (#64552): "Condomania" 05/11/02 During sex education at school, Dylan grabs a handful of condoms with his mischief on his mind. Sure enough, Dylan and Ashley spend the good part of the day filling the condoms with water and throwing them at each other like water balloons. But when Mr. and Mrs. Roberts return from shopping, and find an empty condom wrapper at home, Mr. Roberts sends Ashley home, and accuses Dylan of having a sexual relationship with Ashley. Dylan is disgusted that his father doesn't believe him. Later, Ashley realizes that Dylan is against pre-marital sex, and Dylan realizes Ashley isn't. At the store, Kim can't stand new coworker Mandy, and Jermaine is caught in the middle. [NOTE: Naomi appears in a quick scene in this episode - this is the last time she is seen in an episode of "Just Deal".] Episode 3.3 (#64553): "Up Too Latte" 05/18/02 Ashley is obsessed with her studies, and getting good grades, and she starts staying up very late to do them. First she starts off by using copious amounts of coffee, and it's not long before both Dylan and Emily Gordon are concerned. Eventually Emily has to institute a pseudo-curfew, by Ashley ignores it, and then makes the mistake of taking 'No-Doze' pills with coffee. The combination causes her to end up in the hospital. Kim asks Jermaine to be her dance partner, but she soon regrets it when Jermaine's perfectionism gets the best of him, and his demands of Kim turn her off,a nd ruin her desire to just have fun. Episode 3.4 (#64554): "The Little Tramp" 05/25/02 Laurel arrives in town as a new transfer student, and Dylan's dirty little secret is out. Despite the fact that both Dylan and Laurel refer to themselves as just "old friends", Ashley is convinced that either: a) that Dylan and Laurel have something going on on the side, or b) that at the very least Laurel is interested in Dylan (and Ash may be right about that, though Laurel does not appear to want to sabotage her friend Dylan's relationship with Ashley). And Dylan feels he and Ash are "even", after she lied about spending the summer with Josh. (Ash still hasn't told Dylan about the "kiss(es)".) In the end, Ashley decides to try and be friends with Laurel, after Laurel makes an overture, and insists that she has no interest in breaking Ash and Dylan up. Jermaine wants to take his relationship with Kim to the "next level", and go out on more than an 'informal' date, but Kim continues to resist after having gotten out of her relationship relatively recently - she doesn't want to be "exclusive". But when Kim finally decides to agree to a "real" date, Jermaine shocks her by announcing her already has a date - with Mandy! Episode 3.5 (#64555): "Dog Day Afternoon" 06/01/02 Mr. Roberts wants Dylan to improve himself, and get a job, and after helping a vet named Dr. Hillman (Bill Dow), Dylan is offered a job by Dr. Hillman, and he accepts. But Dylan is soon upon an ethical dilemma: he suspects that Dr. Hillman is fraudulently convincing his clients to agree to unnecessary treatment for their pets. Should Dylan report the doctor, quit and risk angering his father, or should he keep working there and keep his mouth shut? Meanwhile, Mandy (unknowingly) goes out a blind date with Mike, Jr., and she finds him to be a jerk. So she goes to Ashley for advice on how to dump the guy. But when Ashley is over at the Roberts', she overhears Mike, Jr. getting the call, and he's rather heartbroken. Suddenly, Ash realizes how crude her 'dumping' advice to Mandy was, and she tries to fix things. Episode 3.6 (#63982): "Conscientious Objections" 06/08/02 In biology class, Ashley refuses to dissect a dead frog, even though she risks getting an 'F'. (And strangely, her strong moral stance is getting no support from any of her firends!) So Ash seeks an alternative solution. Dylan befriends a new student, Kevin Marshall (Paul Dzenki), but when Dylan invites Kevin home for dinner, Kevin and Mr. Roberts strangely seem to know each other. After Kevin leaves, Mike, Sr. orders Dylan that he can't be friends with Kevin anymore, and Dylan is furious. But when Dylan presses his father for an explanation, Mike, Sr. clams up. When Dylan asks around, he soon realizes that Kevin has been expelled from his previous schools for drug and alcohol abuse. Dylan then confronts his father, a recovering alcoholic himself, of the hypocrisy of Mike's position. Episode 3.7 (#63983): "Happy Medium" 06/15/02 Jermaine's birthday party is approaching, and he's dreading it - Jermaine's Mom, Anna (Kate Twa), is in town visiting from Washington, D.C., and Jermaine knows that his Mom and Dad (William Taylor) fight about everything. And his birthday party is a prime opportunity for them to fight. Sure enough, when his Dad gives Jermaine a new car for his birthday, his mother objects, and the fighting begins (in front of Kim, no less!). Kim, seeing how hurt Jermaine is, and how unreasonable his parents are being, takes Jermaine to Vinyl Frontier where she locks them both in a closet until Jermaine is ready to confront his parents. Meanwhile, for Jermaine's birthday, Mandy drags the gang to a medium named Miss Rebecca (Anne Marie Loder). Once there, Rebecca tells Laurel that she's thinking about a boy, her soulmate! who she'll spend the rest of her life with (could she be talking about Dylan?...). And she tells Ashley that she's hiding a secret, and that "Bill" (Ash's dead father's name) sends "his love", upsetting Ashley. Episode 3.8 (#63984): "I Never" 06/22/02 Ashley's slumber party from Hell: Ash is having a slumber party, and she invites not only Kim and Mandy, but Laurel too. Things are going pretty well, until Mandy suggests that they play a game of "I Never". The girls discover some surprising things about each other while playing, but Ash starts to get jealous of Laurel's reminiscences of her friendship with Dylan. So Ashley starts to play dirty: "I never had a secret crush on someone else's boyfriend." Kim and Mandy raise their hands, as does Laurel, but Ashley accuses of Laurel of lying. So Laurel fights back: "I never hooked up with another guy while I was going steady with someone." Again, Kim and Mandy raise their hands, but Ashley can't. Laurel pounces on Ashley for this admission, and they have a huge fight - Laurel says she'll tell Dylan the truth if Ashley won't. Ashley refuses, and Laurel storms out. Meanwhile, Dylan is staying with Jermaine for the night. But they forget a video game at Dylan's and they go to his house to retrieve the game, where Jermaine accidentally kicks Dylan's front door out of its hinges. The boys work frantically all night to repair the door before Mike, Sr. returns home and sees the damage. Episode 3.9 (#63985): "Over the Net" 06/29/02 Dylan, Ash, Jermaine and Kim attend a volleyball game that Laurel and Mandy are playing in, and they (and Laurel) all notice how hard Mandy's father is riding her from the stands. Indeed, Mandy wilts under the "encouragement" from her father. The next day, Mandy tells Laurel that she's "too busy" to continue with volleyball, but Laurel sees through this and encourages Mandy to stand up to her father. Ashley is concerned that her mother never dates, so she pushes her mother into internet dating. On the date, Ashley and Emily (and Dylan) are shocked to see that Emily's internet date is Benny! Ashley is appalled, thinking Benny's not good enough, but Emily goes through with the date anyway. Episode 3.10 (#63986): "Animal House Rules" 09/07/02 Mr. and Mrs. Roberts, Dylan and Jermaine goes to Mike, Jr.'s college to visit him there, but they are shocked when they arrive and find a sickly Mandy in Mike, Jr.'s bed. Dylan and Jermaine are convinced that this is proof that Mike Jr. and Mandy are sleeping together, but Mike, Sr. and Colleen accept Mike, Jr.'s explanation that they aren't. Dylan is furious about the double-standard: Mike, Sr. and Colleen are tough on him, but lax with Mike, Jr. Dylan storms over to Mike, Jr.'s dorm room to talk it over, and Mike, Jr. assures Dylan that he and Mandy aren't sleeping together. But they agree to confront Mike, Sr. and Colleen about the double- Standard about their two sons, and their parents agree to think it over. Meanwhile, Ashley is determined to learn how to drive, but Ashley soon finds out that her mother is an overly nervous, overly critical, and generally terrible, driving teacher. Episode 3.11 (#63987): "Last Dance" 07/13/02 The Dance from Hell: Ashley is increasingly annoyed with Dylan - she wants him to formally ask her to a bog dance, but Dylan just assumes that they're going. Ashley gets colder and colder with him, and Dylan confides to Jermaine that he can't do anything right with Ash anymore. Laurel is dateless, so she hooks up with the dance's band, and she ends up singing at the dance! At the dance, Ashley is treating Dylan like... well, dirt. In the bathroom, Ash complains to Kim who points out that maybe Dylan isn't the problem - maybe Ashley doesn't want Dylan anymore. Finally, during a slow dance, Ashley breaks down, tells Dylan that she doesn't want to be with him anymore, and that their relationship is over. She runs out of the dance. Dylan, and the rest of the gang, are shocked. Dylan is forced to catch a ride home with Laurel, who lends Dylan a sympathetic ear, while Ashley cries in her Mom's lap. Episode 3.12 (#63989): "Looking Back" 07/20/02 A retrospective episode: As Dylan and Ashley wallow in the depression of their break-up, Jermaine & Laurel, and Emily, try to cheer up Dylan and Ashley, respectively. They both remember the good times, and their lack of common ground. Ultimately, Dylan asks Laurel what changed with Ash over the summer in San Francisco. Laurel urges Dylan to ask Ashley about that (implying that Laurel knows something that Ashley isn't telling Dylan). Dylan goes over to Ashley's and confronts her in her room. Finally, finally, Ashley admits that she and Josh kissed in San Francisco. Twice. Dylan is so disgusted, that he can't even look at or talk to Ashley. He storms out. She cries. The End. Episode 3.13 (#63988): "Yearbook" 07/27/02 Mandy and Jermaine are trying to film their classmates for a video yearbook project. While they are having some success getting their other classmates to talk to the camera, including Laurel and Kim, they are having little success getting Ashley or Dylan (still guilty and bitter, respectively, over their breakup) to talk. Ultimately, Mandy turns to the camera on Jermaine, and asks him if he's ever been in love. He refuses to answer. She then asks him what her most find memory of high school was. Jermaine answers his perfect PSAT score. Mandy presses for something more personal. Just as Ashley approaches, Jermaine volunteers that his fondest memory in high school was the day Ashley showed up, and he and Dylan and Ash became best friends. Ashley asks Jermaine if he still feels that way, and he assures her that they are still friends. Ashley then records her message for Mandy - she agrees with Jermaine that her most wonderful memory was meeting Dylan and Jermaine, and becoming such good friends with both of them, especially Dylan. Jermaine then gets a bright idea, and takes the tape from Mandy. On his way out the door, he admits to Mandy that he's only ever been "in love" once - with Kim. Jermaine arrives at Dylan's to find him moping on the coach, and puts the videotape in Dylan's VCR, and plays it for Dylan. Dylan is moved by Ashley's words, and thanks Jermaine. Dylan leaves to go find Ashley. Meanwhile, Jermaine goes to Vinyl Frontier to find him. He tells her that he's in love with her. She agrees to take their relationship to the "permanent" stage. Dylan goes to Ashley's, and talks to her. He is still very hurt by what happened, but he's decided that, no matter what, he doesn't want to sacrifice his friendship with Ashley. Ashley is relieved, and they hug, their friendship restored. THE END. [NOTE: "Yearbook" was the early working title for "Just Deal".]
