mode" (i.e. the FAQ is basically done, and only minor 'tweaks' are required).
Before you ask any questions about
this TV-related site, please read the FAQ
for this website which will answer many of these questions! Questions
about obtaining TV series on DVDs (for DVDs, see also: www.TVShowsOnDVD.com),
tapes, etc. should be directed to the usenet newsgroup rec.arts.tv
or alt.tv.saved-bell, or to
the network or channel that airs
the show (in syndication) or to NBC
Productions, the production company that produced the show.

Saved by the Bell (and its spinoffs) were sitcoms produced
by NBC Productions, Inc. (see below).
Saved by the Bell first began its run on cable's
The Disney Channel
as "Good Morning Miss Bliss." After 13 episodes on
Disney, the show changed
its name to Saved by the Bell and moved to
NBC as part of
NBC's Saturday morning T-NBC line up in the fall of 1989.
"The Original Series" ran 4 seasons and ended its final first-run season in
1993, and it is now syndicated on local stations and the cable stations such
as TBS. Saved
by the Bell spun-off two shows: Saved by the Bell: The College Years (which
ran for just one season - 1993-94), and Saved by the Bell: The New Class (which
ran from 1993-2000).
Saved by the Bell was a Peter Engel Production,
and was Produced by either Marica Govons or Franco Bario.
Its Exectuive in Charge of Production was William Phillips
(for the first 3 seasons), or Gary Considine
(from the Grade 11 season of SbtB, tOS on).
It was created by Sam Bobrick.
Through this site, several abreviations are used. "SbtB"
and "SbtB,tOS" are short for Saved by the Bell,
the original series. "SbtB-tCY" or "tCY" is short
for Saved by the Bell: The College Years.
"SbtB-tNC" or "tNC" is short for
Saved by the Bell: The New Class. "CD" is short
for another T-NBC show, California Dreams.

The "Tori" Episodes
Saved by the Bell first began its run on
cable's The
Disney Channel
as the TV series "Good Morning Miss Bliss." After 13 episodes on
Disney, the show changed
its name to Saved by the Bell and moved to
NBC as part of
NBC's Saturday morning T-NBC line up in the fall of 1989.
"The Original Series" ran 4 seasons and also included a Primetime
Hawaii TV Movie. "The
Original Series" ended its last first-run season in 1993, and
it is now syndicated on local stations and on the cable network TBS
(3 pm Eastern/12 pm Pacific, weekdays).

Saved by the Bell: The College Years, the
primetime sequel to Saved by the Bell, which followed the
continuing adventures of Zack, Screech, Slater and Kelly in college
at "California University"; "The College Years" aired
on NBC on Tuesday nights in the 1993-94 season, but was cancelled
after one season and is now in syndication.
This portion of this SbtB website includes an
episode guide,
series information, the history of
The College Years TV show, and the
Wedding in Las Vegas TV Movie.
|
Saved by the Bell: The New Class, the Saturday
morning spin-off of Saved by the Bell which also began its
run in the fall of 1993. I gave up on
the show and stopped watching it regularly. So "The New Class" Episode
Guide at this site stops at the end of season #2. "The New
Class" completed its seventh (and last) season in the 1999-2000 season.
This portion of this SbtB website includes a
partial episode guide
(it only covers the first two seasons), the history of
the series, and cast information (for all 7 seasons) for The
New Class.
|
NOTE:: There were rumors that Engel and co.
were working on a couple of different (new) versions of Saved by the Bell for
the season after The New Class left the air (which would have
been the '00-'01 TV season). But it looks like they never got off the ground.
So, no new incarantions of Saved by the Bell look to be
hitting the airwaves any time soon. Stay tuned...

If it is used at all these days, it's used by the tiny number of posters

or by spammers. Do not use
this group: go to alt.tv.saved-bell
