Roswell, a science-fiction/romantic TV drama series (based on the young adult series of novels, Roswell High), was produced by FOX Television Productions. Roswell aired weekly on The WB for its first two seasons (1999-2001). (The first season aired Wednesdays at 9pm after Dawson's Creek, and Mondays at 9pm after 7th Heaven during the spring of 2000. The second season aired exclusively in the Mondays at 9pm, after 7th Heaven.) Roswell was picked up by UPN for its third, and last, season (2001-2002), after The WB had inexplicabaly cancelled Roswell at the end of its second season. (On UPN, the show aired Tuesdays at 9pm, after Buffy The Vampire Slayer.) However, UPN declined the option to pick up a 4th season of Roswell (indeed, UPN even cut back the third season order for Roswell from 22 to 18 episodes), and so Roswell ended after three seasons. Roswell aired in "back-end syndication" on the Sci-Fi cable network, though Sci-Fi does not appear to be airing the show currently. (It may be back at a later date...)
