Renegade (1992-97), yet another "innocent man on the run" show
(first syndicated, final season on the USA cable channel) brought to
you by Stephen J. Cannell.
Renegade began as one of the early syndicated dramas that resulted
from the success of "Star Trek: The Next Generation". The show
was created by Producer Stephen J. Cannell, and first aired in syndication
in the fall of 1992. It was a joint Production of Stephen
J. Cannell Films and Stu Segall Studios;
if you want to contact either the crew or the cast of Renegade, contact
these studios (please, do not contact
me! I know nothing beyond what you see at this site!).
Renegade had the following cast:
The Players:
Reno Raines/Vince Black -Lorenzo Lamas
Bobby Sixkiller -Branscombe Richmond
Cheyenne Phillips -Kathleen Kinmont (seasons 1-4)
Lt. Donald "Dutch" Dixon -Stephen J. Cannell (main cast: season 5)
Semi-Regulars:
Sandy Carruthers -Sandra Ferguson (seasons 5)
The show was about a former police officer (Lorenzo Lamas) framed for murder
by a crooked cop (Stephen J. Cannell), who was trying to prove his innocence,
while bounty hunting on the side for his friend Bobby (Branscombe Richmond).
Renegade's final season, its fifth, aired in the '96-'97 season
exclusively on the USA cable network. During its previous four
season run, Renegade had been among the highest rated and most
successful of the syndicated dramas. The show ended it's run on the USA
cable network in the spring of 1997.
