The show completed its first season, which began on January 13, 1997, on October 5, 1997. Season #2 of La Femme Nikita began on the USA network on January 4, 1998; new episodes aired through the month of August 1998. Season #3 of La Femme Nikita began on the USA network on January 3, 1999, with new episodes airing through the month of August 29, 1999. La Femme Nikita started its fourth season on USA on January 9, 2000 with a 2-hour season premiere that started at 9:00 pm. New season #4 episodes aired, variously, in the months of January through April; the season #4 finale episodes aired on Auguest 28 at 8:00 and 10:00 pm. The shortened, 8-episode fifth season of Nikita began on January 7, 2001 at 10:00 pm, and aired pretty much straight through until the series finale, which aired on March 4, 2001.
