the production company that produced the show.
Hang Time was a sitcom produced by NBC
Productions, Inc., and was part of NBC's
T-NBC
Saturday morning block. Hang Time was the fourth live-action comedy show
for NBC's T-NBC line up. It began its run in September 1995, when NBC
decided to expand its Saturday
morning line-up beyond Saved
by the Bell and California
Dreams (after the failure of Running the
Halls in the 1993-94 season). It ran through the 2000-2001 TV season
(Hang Time's 6th season).
Hang Time was created by Troy Searer, Robert Tarlow (who
worked on Running the Halls, and who now appears to be working on USA
High) and Mark Fink, and was a Mark Fink (of Full House fame)
Production, with Fink and Jeff Ferro as Executive Producers.
There were 13 episodes in Hang Time's first season. Hang Time was renewed
for a second season, which began on September 7, 1996; there were also 13 episodes
in season #2. Again, the show then ran for a total of six seasons, ending in
the 2000-2001 TV season.
For reasons not enitrely clear to me, Mark Fink was out as Producer of "Hang
Time" for season #2; "Saved by the Bell" and "California Dreams" Producer Peter
Engel took over. Many changes were made to the show to the show in season
#2, some of them displeasing to fans of season #1.
In fact, I decided to abandon doing the (full) Hang
Time Episode Guide, after season #2 finished airing. My reasons for doing this
are partly explained in a review of the season #2
premiere of HT that I wrote and posted to alt.tv.saved-bell (and
which is just as relevant to the other episodes in season #2, as it was to
the premiere). Personally, I couldn't stand to see HT degenerate into another "Saved
by the Bell: The New Class", with a cast change, and declining comedic
value, every season. Basically, with the end of the run of "California
Dreams", I'm just got too old to continue watching T-NBC (especially with
the remaining shows yielding only marginal entertainment value).
It's been a great run folks, but it's time to move on. - Fall
1997

Season 3 ('97-'98):
NOTE: I gave up and stopped watching Hang Time regularly after
season #2, as I was dissatisfied with changes made to the show after season
#1. (Note that this is my opinion, and my opinion only.)
However, the show did continue the streak, started last season, with another
excellent basketball-themed season finale, much like season #2's. There are
about 20(?) episodes in season #3, as the show aired twice on Saturday during
this season. The show had the following cast in season #3:
HT, Season 3 Cast:
Julie Connor -Daniella Deutscher
Danny Mellon -Chad Gabriel
Mary Beth Pepperton -Megan Parlen
Vince D'Amata -Michael Sullivan
Theodore "Teddy" Brodis-Anthony Anderson
Michael Manning -Adam Frost
Kristy Ford -Amber Barretto
Coach Bill Fuller -Reggie Theus
Season 4 ('98-'99):
With Theus, Gabriel and Anderson gone, I gave up even the pretense of watching
Hang Time, so I have no idea what the storylines for season #4 were.
As I recall, Hang Time also aired twice on Saturday during this season.
Here is cast for season #4:

Coach Mike Katowinski -Dick Butkus
Season 5 ('99-'00):
I was still not watching Hang Time in season #5, so, again, I have no
idea what the storylines were. Hang Time went back to airing once on
Saturday during this season. Here is cast for season #5:

Julie Connor -Daniella Deutscher
Mary Beth Pepperton -Megan Parlen
Michael Manning -Adam Frost

this show's

or September of 2001. The cast for season #6 remained the same
as season #5:
