(5.1) Mel -Jackie Debatin (5.1) grease monkey -Jim Cody Williams (5.1) waiter -Lance Christopher
Tiffani helps Jake find a job fixing motorcycles, but she regrets it when she finds out his boss, Mel, is a gorgeous woman, and when he starts working overtime, Lorena and Sam come up with a plan to spy on Jake and test his trust, but they end up getting him fired. Meanwhile, Tony and Sly attempt to win money from the TV show "Wacky Videos" by videotaping practical jokes they play on Mark... at least, that's the plan.
(5.2) Miss Ross -Stacie Foster (5.2) Jack Zyans -Ron Elk
After an earthquake hits, and nearly knocks a speaker over onto Tony, Tony develops such a fear of earthquakes that he plans to leave California. Meanwhile, Sly schemes to get Music Producer Jack Zyans to come hear the dreams.
(5.3) Gem Diamond -Gary Beach [An "in"-joke: This same actor and character appeared in a "Tori" ep. of SbtB-tOS.] (5.3) Kathy -Laurie Cole
Sly gets a "real" job: working for used-car salesman Gem Diamond (last seen on an episode of SbtB-tOS), but his conscience is once again brought to the fore after he sells a faulty car to Sam who is learning to drive (and is terrible). Meanwhile, Lorena pretends to be Mark's girlfriend to get a gril that Mark likes to notice him.

(5.5) Harvey Cramdon -Alex Nevil [Also seen in episode 2.11] (5.5) photographer -Jason Weissbrod
Sam is elected President of the Honors Society, and when she begins doing activities for the club, from which Tony is excluded, Tony decides that he will do anything to be a member of the club so he can be a part of Sam's life, and that includes cheating on a test. Meanwhile, the former Honors Society President Harvey Cramdon will do anything to get his old job back.
(5.6) Mr. Soltis -Michael Immel [This is a joke: (5.6) Professor Solomon-Perry Chanel Moore Soltis & Solomon are writers for CD] (5.6) Scott -Chris Pegula (5.6) Miss Urbont -Lynne Winterstiller (5.6) Mr. Gibson -Jack Sheldon
The TV show "Reel Teens" follows Jake around for a week (i.e. the camera is "Reel Teens"; you never see the film crew) to show how teenagers deal with stress. And the show has chosen a good week: Jake must take several tests at school, fix Tiffani's car and write a song for the band, and the stress is driving Jake nuts!
(5.7) Mr. Dom Winkle -James Harper (5.7) Mancuso -Mario Roccuzzo (5.7) Schwartz -Paul Malcolm Pruett (5.7) boggie babe -Bethany Bassler
Sly starts gambling, a habit that seems to get out of more out of control the more Sly's father ignores Sly in favor of work, until things get so out of hand that the band is affected. Meanwhile, Tony, who is on the Senior Awards committee, can't keep the big secret: that Jake is going to win the Himalaya Award (see CD episode #2.14), given to PCH's "most unique senior".
Sam decides to send a video home to her Uncle Tze Tze to reassure him that she is not alone in her stay in America, and this causes the gang to reminisce about their time with Sam. A retrospective episode. (Note: Matt Garrison is actually shown in a couple of the flashbacks!)
(5.9) pelican man -Brian Fish Smith (5.9) boogie babe -Bethany Bassler
It's Prom time and things seem to be going well, until Jake & Tiffani and Tony & Sam vie to be Prom King and Queen and the competition gets out of hand. Mark tries to get the courage to ask a girl to the Prom. Sly books the band for a gig on the same day as the Prom.

(5.10) Marty Stinson -Paul Kreppel (5.10) Dann Hazakoff -Edward Trucco
Tiffani lands a job as one surfer extra on the TV show "Babewatch", and she agrees to let Mark, Sly and Lorena be the other surfer extras, as long as she gets to "teach" them surfer ways. Sam also lands a job on the TV show, which causes one of the show's stars to "eye" aspiring actress Sam, leading to jealousy from Tony. Meanwhile, Jake takes a job as the Producer's assistant.
(5.11) Coach Flack -Ronald B. Solomon [Guess who! It's CD's co-creator.] (5.11) John Lode -Todd Rulapaugh (5.11) Paul -Sean Blodgett (5.11) Otto -Jim Koehler (5.11) messenger -Jon Lauren
Each of the gang swears to fix their biggest regrets about high school before they graduate: Tiffani regrets being mean to a boy that wanted to date her freshman year, Sam and Tony regret not trying out for the "dance-a-thon" (see episode #4.15), Mark regrets being intimidated by the high school P.E. teacher, and Jake regrets not playing the bagpipes in public. But the biggest (and most secret) regret of all is Sly's, who regrets that he never told Lorena how he really feels about her, so he remedies the situation by writing her a series of anonymous love letters.
(5.12) Prin. Blumford -Earl Boen [multiple episodes; Guest starred in numerous TV shows & movies (e.g. T2).] (5.12) Sara -Tara Reid (5.12) Mr. Jayson -William Utay [Another joke: Jayson is the name of a member of the CD crew.] (5.12) police officer -Leonard O. Turner (5.12) "Boogie Boy" -J. Steven Smith [multiple episodes] (5.12) "Reef" -Shimar Frazier (5.12) jock -Andrew Walter Butler (5.12) teacher -Lillian Byrd
Trying to impress a girl (Tara Reid), Mark allows beer at Lorena's graduation party, but things get out of hand when he goes driving with the girl after drinking. Jake & Tiffani must do one more class project or they won't graduate. The gang get their diplomas from Principal Blumford.
(5.13) Judge Maui Zowee -Steve Mattila (5.13) Jonathan -Lee Sosin (5.13) "Boogie Boy" -J. Steven Smith [multiple episodes]
When the band's amp breaks, Lorena offers to pay for a replacement, but there's a catch: she demands to be made co-manager of the band with Sly, which becomes a problem when neither will compromise on ideas, costing the band gigs. Meanwhile, the new amp overloads the loft's wiring, so Jake and the guys try and rewire the place.
[first aired on KTLA: 10/23/94]
(5.14) Amber Dubois -Julie Payne (5.14) Samson -Dan Clark (5.14) Hank -Todd Fraser (5.14) girl #1 -Jeanine Michelle (5.14) girl #2 -Melissa Deppe (5.14) boy #1 -Dion Zamora

(5.15) Brett Dewey -Alvin Walker [Another joke. Brett Dewey is one of the co-creators of CD.] (5.15) "stunt man" -Eugene Collier
It's the last week of summer, and each of the gang is heading off to do their own thing: Tiffani is going to the University of Hawaii to study oceanography, Sam is going off to Oxford to study physics, Mark is going to the Juliard School of Music, Sly and Lorena are going to Pacific University (presumably to study business and/or fashion), and Tony is off to study acting (though it's never said where he's going off to!).
But Jake is frantically trying to keep the band together by landing a contract, which he does when Brett Dewey of "StyleJam" records offers him a contract. But the contract is just for Jake, which causes everyone else to realize that Jake should go on with the music, because the others want to break up the band and get on with the rest of their lives, something that is difficult for Jake to accept.
