Jake and Lorena's relationship starts hitting a bumpy road when neither is willing to do what the other likes to, and is further complicated by Jake's worries about Tiffani's choice of dating partners, prompting both Jake and Tiffani to realize that the still have feelings for one an other.

[This begins the conclusion of the drama that began in episodes 2.7 and 2.18, and ends in episode 5.15.]

4.2: "My Valentine"

Valentine's Day causes Tony to realize that Tony only has four more months with Sam before she returns to Hong Kong, so he writes her a special song, and then in front of the whol gang Tony proposes to Sam, prompting doubts about the wisdom of that from the gang.

4.3: "Principal Tiffani"

Tiffani becomes student principal for the week, but first she has to overcome a confidence problem, which she does... in spades; meanwhile, Sam tries to tutor the gang in physics before a midterm.

Jake agrees to be a contestant with Mark and Sly on "The Dating Game", and of course he wins! which causes Tiffani to break up with him once again! To get her back, Jake must prove that he really loves her. Meanwhile, Tony wants to be like his idol: gameshow host Milt Bradley.

4.5: "Fallen Idol"

Jake gets to meet his rock-and-roll idol, Zane Walker, who may be able to help the band get their big break. Meanwhile, the gang gets their fortunes told, which portend bad fortune for Tony, and good fortune for Mark *if* he doesn't take it for granted.

4.6: "Defending Sly's Life"

The gang puts Sly on tril to determine whether he is the world's worst sleaze-ball: Tony is his defense lawyer, Tiffani the prosectuor, and Jake the judge; his case is made via flashbacks.

4.7: Sly Gets a Conscience

Sly romances an overweight girl that he tormented in grammar school just to get a high paying gig for the Dreams, but his conscence soon begins to bother him; meanwhile, a love poem written by Mark for a girl in his class, instead gets passed from Mark to Lorena to Jake to Tony, causing all sorts of confusion.

4.8: "Old"

Sly is disgusted by the "antics" of some eldery surfers that are in town and he lets them know it (as rudley as possible), until he has a dream, and realizes his resentment may have a deeper cause.

Thanks to Sly, Tony injures his shoulder which has to be operated on, treumatizing Tony who dreams he dies during surgery; meanwhile Lorena takes up candystripping after Tiffani tells her about the very cute Dr. Joe (Joel Beeson).

4.10: "Community Service"

When Tiffani and Mark become alarmed at the garbage pilling up on the beach, they get the gang involved in an enviromental group, "Save the Beach", but Tony goes overborad so the gang retaliates by sabotaging Tony's date with a girl he likes; the gang accuse Jake and Lorena of liking each other.

Lorena turns her loft into a coffee house to impress her friends.
