Surrogate Twins

I had the opportunity to briefly photograph a pair of surrogate twins late last week. They were small giants. Both entered this world weighing over 6 pounds..incredible! I captured some candids at the Mothers house shortly before the new dads traveled back to their home on the east coast with their new family.

Let me begin by saying "Sabrina and Jurgen are awesome people with awesome families". There wedding was a beautiful intimate affair at the Ritz in Laguna Niguel.

the first words out of my mouth were: holy ! Out loud.... At work....
Watching it together this evening brought tears to our eyes.
You were unobtrusive, positive and lighthearted, and you have an impeccable eye. We can't wait to share your images with our friends and family!!! The pictures you made managed to capture the ceremony and celebration, but also our feelings for each other in a magical way. Thank you for documenting so beautifully our best day ever! Maybe our next best day ever, when we hopefully welcome a small van Engelen into the world, will be documented by you as well. We hope so. And you should know that everyone commented on how great you were, including the photog parents. :)

Okay, Okay I know!!
It has been a few weeks since the last post! It's been a extremely busy summer season so far, and its getting kicked up another notch for the next 4 months! We are looking forward to making some more amazing images throughout the summer and fall seasons.

Quite a fantastic affair! Marbella Country Club was the perfect setting on June 9th for the wedding of Heather and Tom. Becky and I had a fantastic time capturing all the action!

Something special has come for Tracy and Jim. Ilana and I could not be happier for the arrival of their new son John.
There is something amazing about new life! Can't wait to document this little guy over the next....say 20 years;-)

I love shooting in NEW PLACES. Kaela and Robert made the journey out to Crystal Cove State Park in Laguna Beach for their engagement portrait session last week. Crystal Cove has a fantastic seascape. It's almost empty and there are some old houses falling apart right on the sand that make for interesting elements to add in the images. All in all, it turned out to be a great place to shoot. (if you can avoid the Park rangers) Evidently you are required to have a pass to take a picture on an empty beach in Laguna. A somewhat interesting rule they have down there. Can't say I quite understand it. Anyhow the images look magnificent. Here are a few of my favorites.

Great way to start the summer season! Erin and Jimmy had a beautiful wedding at the Historic Bankers Ballroom in downtown Fresno. I wish this location was a little closer to home. Becky and I had a blast capturing this one. Great couple....awesome families, and lots of fun.

It's official........Imagery Immaculate Photography now has a new studio right in my backyard. We have officially opened a beautiful new studio in Belmont Shores in Long Beach. We are located in a fantastic old building with a brick facade. The studio is upstairs above one of my favorite restaurants called La Strada cafe. Join me for lunch!
Anyhow, are new address is 4720 East 2nd Street #6 Long Beach, CA 90804. Here are a few pics for you guys.

Okay so I swear I have been trying to catch the iiBLOG up with what's going on Today. The problem is, I just can't skip over last week. We had the opportunity to photograph some great people and old friends.
Ilana and I met Amy and her husband Mitch a couple years ago. They have since moved away to Portland (SAD). Amy was buying and selling in LA for her jewelry design business. Amy Wing designs. http://www.amywing.com/
She custom designs and constructs her own line of jewelry including necklaces, earrings, rings, and bracelets. Be sure to check out her site.
We were able to connect and have a couple awesome dinners and a product shoot for some of her new designs. Have a peek. Here are a few of my favorite images from our shoot in Long Beach.

It stands for International special events society. It turned out to be a great evening at Los Caballaros in Fountain Valley.

Let there be light!!!

As most of you guys probably already know, we have been getting closer to the arrival of our son. Well that day has finally come. Our perfect little boy Gideon Griffiths came to meet us on April 19th at 2:20 in the afternoon. I really want to write a detailed elequent story about our experiences and feelings since Ilana went into labor. However I just don't think I can even come close to getting everything into words. Since Ilana had become pregnant friends and family had told us about how great this day would be. They used words like "Amazing, and Life-changing". Their best attempts to quantify the feelings fell upon my deaf ears. "Sure, yeah, awesome, thats great! I would say", without really getting what they were saying. Well, I am not going to try to tell you what it's like other than saying "when you reach this moment in your life, you'll know the feeling and you can bet you'll be smiling".
