私達の研究所では年に1回、good mentor (良き指導者) にaward (賞) が送られます。これは投票によって決まるようで、今年は同僚がボスを驚かそうと企画し、研究室全員の sign を集めています。企画者から e-mail が来ました。"If we could all just sign the forms and keep this hush-hush (内密に), it would be a nice surprise for our boss." 見事私達のボスが選ばれて、nice surprise になれば良いのですが。We will see (今に分かります) 。
