TOTAL POINTS, REVISED 27 NOV., SEE BELOW. These results
rank riders using cumulative points. But the final
overall points placings will be based on each rider's
best six races including the Provincial Championships.
Points in the Provincial Championships were awarded by
providing points only to those riders who are season
riders or who had ridden at least one race in this
year's series. The points awarded for Provincials were
given according to how these riders placed. For
example, in Senior Men, Osmond won the race so received
20 points, however the next rider was not a series
rider, so the points jumped him. The next Series rider
was Sylvain Jean (3rd finisher), who was awarded 18
points etc. As well, a number of riders did not ride in
their correct races at some points during the season
i.e. someone who should have raced in the A race raced
in the B race. Those riders did not receive any points
for that race. A number of people pointed out that the
initial points allocated to Provincials were not
correct, as some series riders rode in categories
outside of their series categories. So for the Master
A, B and C, I have allocated points to the provincials
as if riders were in their series categories. I had
done this already for Elite Women and Women. This was
possible because all these categories rode together.
Therefore, there are changes to the points. If there
any questions, or omissions regarding the overall
results, please let Bob know asap, bacwoods@storm.ca
