15th September
I am so sorry its taking me so long to get the awards finished, its just that I have school exams over the next two weeks, so I've been busy preparing for those. But I am aiming for having awards up early next week. Thanks for your patience everyone! Also, I know there are some reviews I am meant to have done from a few rounds ago, but I just haven't had a chance, I am sorry guys! But, after my exams are done I am on holidays for 2 weeks, so at some point over my holidays, I plan on spending a solid period of time doing reviews for anyone who wants them from recent rounds. But I'll give more information on this when that time comes, no need to ask for reviews yet. So, awards hopefully up early next week. Thanks everyone. Okay so I had a problem with the new layout where it wasn't showing up (still the old one), so if you noticed this, it was my fault, not your computer's! It is fixed now, so sorry about that! Sonya, you're right, your link was working - I was looking at the wrong link (I just copy and paste the entries page each round and i had a link to an old video in there, hadn't changed it to your link.) So sorry Sonya, thanks for telling me it was working! Jasmine and Lexi, thank you! Okay so I have all the videos downloaded now and am starting judging!

New layout! I thought it was time for a change, so I had a go at making a new layout - hope you guys like it! I have also done some tidying up and relinking in the archive. Also, could Jasmine, Sonya and Lexi (only Hallelujah, I downloaded does this darkness have a name) please reupload their vid and email me the new link or post it on the tagboard. I'm sorry guys, but I am not any doing reviews for this round, I just am really busy with school and don't have time to do them, and I am still yet to do the reviews for those who requested them from last round. Winners for round 16 are up! Sorry they are a little late. Anyway, congratulations to the winners. I just want to say, this round was very hard to judge as about 15 or 16 of the 19 videos entered this round, were couple videos. So, judging Best Couple and Best Romance was very difficult and so I gave 2 runners-up for both these categories. As so many of the vids were couple vids, the categories of Best Comedy, Best Friendship/Family, Best Character and Best Tearjerker only had 0 or 1 entry in them and therefore no award was given for these categories. So, if you had a couple video entered in this round, please do not feel upset if it did not win, there were so many fantastic couple videos but I could not give them all awards, so I encourage you to enter your vid again. Also, I'd love to see some more comedy, character and cast videos entered so if you have made any, I'd love for you to submit them. And round 17 is open! Oh and if anyone wants reviews from round 16, let me know.

i have received 3 more entries, which brings us to 13. This round is a bit slower than usual for entries so I will leave it open for a few more days and just hope we get some more. But if not thats okay, I will just give out less runner up awards.

Just another update to let you know about my progress. I have finished judging and have started on the awards. So I am thinking this weekend at the latest, hopefully earlier, for awards being up. Sorry I am being kind of slow and thanks your patience! Also, this is pretty much unrelated, but for all you One Tree Hill fans, specifically those who enjoy making/viewing OTH fanart, check out Forever Arts, its an awesome OTH fanart board that I'm an administrator of and we'd love to have some new members! :)

I just wanted to let everyone know how I am going with judging. I have watched all the videos and made some decisions on winners, but I do have some judging left to do. I am sorry I am being a bit slow this round, I've been busy with school. But I will definately have finished judging by the end of this weeked and I hope to have done some of the awards too. So it shouldn't be too long.

Okay I finally updated the entries page with all the video detais. I haven't had a chance to download the vids until just now which means that unfortunately a lot of the yousendit links have expired. I just wanted to let everyone know that I am back from holidays and I have finished the judging and made a lot of the awards, but still have some left to make. So, awards should be up in a day or two.

I have updated the entries page with all the details of everyone's vids. I am going away on holidays tomorrow for a week - but I will be taking my laptop and judging while I am away. I will not have the internet while I am away, so if you send me an email/post on the tagboard, I won't be able to reply til I get back, on Friday the 21st. I am sorry I haven't done reviews for those who requested them last round, I have had exams over the past two weeks and so I just haven't had a chance. But now I am on holidays and while I am away I will do reviews from last round too. But again cause I won't have the internet while I'm away, don't expect them til I get back, sorry! Thanks everyone! I have updated the entries page - we have 14 entries so far! Thanks to everyone who has entered! You may have noticed that the code word was the same as last round. This is because I totally forgot to update the rules page. i had changed the code word and everything but I had forgotton to reupload the rules page when I opened the new round. Oops... silly me... Anyway, so now I have put the new code word up, so if you go to submit another vid you may notice that the code word has changed. However, everyone who has already entered - your vids are accepted and there is no need to resubmit.

This is because I have exams over the next two weeks, I have the majority of them Tues-Thurs so on Thursday arvo/evening I will open round 14. Winners for round 12 are up! Congrats to all the winners. Judging was very difficult this round, too many great videos!! I ended up giving out lots of joint RU's and even a best editing RU, which I haven't done before. Round 13 is now open for entries. Please re-read the rules because there has been a change, I have now added the category of Best Romance, for all the happy couple vids. Please see the rules for more info on this new category and I look forward to watching more awesome vids in round 13! :) Oh and let me know if you want a review of your vid(s) from round 12. Okay, so winners are not yet up but I want to update to let you all know on my progress with the judging/awards making etc. So the days since I closed the round have been very busy in my life. Me and 3 of my friends all have our birthdays around this time in January so nearly every day since I closed the round I have had a birthday party to go to lol. So, this meant the time I had for judging was cut down. Today is my birthday party so I won't be able to judge any more today, and tomorrow, the 29th, is my actual birthday so I doubt I will be judging tomorrow either. I have, however, done a fair portion of the judging and already know how I plan on my making the awards. However, as I won't have time today and tomorrow to finish the judging and start on the awards, the winners will not be up for a few days longer than usual. The 30th is my last time of summer holidays and then back to school. I will try and do some more judging on the 30th and hope to have awards up by the 5th of Feb, just depending on how much homework my teachers pile on me in the first week back. I am very sorry for the delay and I thank you all for your patience and dedication to the site. Without your dedication and talent for vidding, the site would not be running. So, I thank you all for allowing Rippled Wings Awards to get to round 10 and I look forward to judging more videos from you all in round 11 and later rounds! So, winners up by the 5th of Feb, hopefully, at which time I will open round 11. Thanks!

Oh, and I will be giving out some special awards in round 10 that relate to every previous round, as well as the regular awards. I want to keep it as a bit of a surprise as to what exactly these special awards will be :) Also, two new affilates - Joy Discovery Invention Awards and Bittersweet Awards

Just wanted to update to say Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays to you all! Its already the 26th here but I think its still the 25th in the USA so to all of you there who celebrate Christmas, hope you are having a great day! And, Merry Christmas to everyone one else in other parts of the world who celebrates it, and to those who don't cellebrate Christmas, Happy Holidays! I also wanted to let you all know on how the judging is coming. I have almost finished the judging and then I have to make the awards so the awards should be up around Thursday. Sorry its taking a little longer than usual. The next round should open then too as even though I am away, I think I have managed to find a good internet connection that I can download vids using :) I also added a bunch of new affiliates: Broken Road Awards, FF Video Awards, Hooked on OTH, Endless Desires

Thanks to Maz, Nida and Camilla, we have got four more entries meaning we now have a total of 16. Unfortunately, I have to close the round now because I am going away in just a few hours and have to download all the videos before I go away. As we have just 16 entries I willjudge normally but probably give out less runners up. I will find an internet connection while I am away so I can put winners up. I will be checking on the site every few days while I am away but if you email me/post on tag it may take me a few days to reply.

Okay so winners are not yet up, they will be either today or tomorrow. However, round 8 is open. I don't usually do this, however, I am going away on Monday and so I will have to close the round on Sunday, so in order to give you guys more time to submit, I am opening round 8 now even though winners for round 7 are not up yet. As I have a laptop which I will be taking away with me, I will be able to judge your videos while I am away. This is why the round will close on Sunday, so I can download all the vids onto my computer before I go away on the Monday. I will somehow get an internet connection while I am away so I can put the winners up. Hope this all makes sense, sorry the winners aren't up yet, I have finished judging and have made nearly a quarter of the awards, so it won't be too long. So, you can start submitting for round 8, remember to read the rules again, winners up for round 7 ASAP. :)

Winners for round 6 are up! You guys make the judging soo hard cause all your videos are really awesome lol! I hope you guys like the awards! Okay so round 7 (whoah, 7 - the rounds just fly by) is now open so please enter! After this round we may have to go on a hiatus for about 3 weeks because I am going away over Christmas and could be without my beloved internet. But we'll just see what happens because I am not sure whats exactly going on yet. I will keep you guys posted and, if we do go on hiatus, I will make it as short as possible! Now, I have also added one new category - Best Friendship/Family. After some confusion as to if friendship videos, if about a couple, really fit into Best Couple, I have decided to open up this new category, (thanks to suggestions regarding this from SamanthaJackson and Gracie). This means if you made a video about two people who are friends, not bf and gf, then it fits into this category, instead of Best Couple. This also will hopefully lower the numbers of entrants to the Best Couple category which receives, along with Best Use of Song, the highest number of entries. Also, if you made a family video (eg. about brothers or a mum and daughter etc) it also fits into this category. This category is now listed in the rules along with the others and the code word has changed as usual so please have a look at the rules before submitting for round 7. Oh, and if anyone wants a review for their round 6 video, just send me an email or let me know on the tagboard and I'll be happy to write a review of your vid. Also, I added a page in the archive where I record, and describe, all the previous code words. The page is merely for fun. Wow, what a long update!

Awards for round 5 are now up! I hope you guys like the awards, all the videos were really great this round so it was tricky to judge. Also, this round is the first where a Best Comedy award has been given out - all the past rounds just 1 vid was entered in that category. Round 6 is now open for entries so you can go ahead and submit!! Remember to reread the rules beforehand. Oh, this is a little off the subject, but anyway - my music videos archive site Rippled Wings has a new layout that I made recently and I'd love some feedback, so if you have a spare minute, check it out :)

I am sorry I didn't close the round yesterday like I had planned to, I was busy preparing for school exams I had today (and yesterday). All my exams are done now, yay! so I will be able to start judging right away. It shouldn't be too long before winners are up. I am very exicted by this round, there look to be lots of interesting videos. So, I better go start judging! Thanks to everyone who entered this round!

Sadly, I have not received any more entries which means we are still at 14. :( I really believe we need at least a couple more entries before I close the round. I am sorry to keep you all waiting as I am sure you are eager for me to start the judging. However, you can help by letting any one who you know who makes vids for OTH, GG, Charmed or Roswell know about the site. If you haven't entered 2 vids and you have another 1 you could enter that would be awesome. We really need more entries! I hope I will get a couple more and I'll be able to close the round soon. Awards are up! Sorry it took a bit longer than usual, computer problems and maths tests are to blame. I want to say thank you to everyone for your understanding, you are all so friendly and patient, I really appreciate it. :) Congratulations to the winners and thank you to everyone who entered, the videos were all fantastic!!! Round 5 is now open and, starting from now (round 5), a Best Editing award will be given. It is not a self nom category so all vids will be automatically entered into this category, like with Best TV Show and Best Video. This new category is now listed in the rules so make sure to check that out and find the new code word before submitting. I look forward to seeing more awesome videos in round 5!

Okay so I have been very busy and also, my computer decided to die so I haven't been able to do much of the judging. My computer is fixed now, but due to the delay, winners and awards won't be up till probably late next week. Sorry to keep you all waiting for the winners and awards, I am going to get them up ASAP. As you can see we have an awesome new layout thanks to Naomi at Endless Graphics. She designed and coded the layout and I think it looks amazing. Thanks Naomi! Winners and awards should hopefully be up tomorrow, if I manage to get some of my schoolwork done first. Also, I moved the winners from round 2 to the archive so the winners section is ready for the winners of round 3.
