Our group started as a loosely tied network of friends that had something in common - using Mac's. We've got experts in almost every area. We finally decided to move forward and create a true user group. SouthEast Michigan was lacking a true Macintosh user presence. We're going to change that. From the beginner to the expert our mission is to provide support and promote life-long learning for Macintosh users of the Southeast Michigan area. Our emphasis is on knowledge. That is learning the Macintosh operational system with emphasis on software applications of all kinds. Our first meeting was a success. Nine people attended - with only two weeks of advertising and preparation. We talked about what everyone used their Mac's for and what we were looking for in the group. We expect to have even more people at the next meeting. Soon we will have SIG leaders that will present their background and knowledge at meetings. A SIG is a Special Interest Group. Such as Gaming, Databases, PDAs, Graphics, Programming, etc. So far the group leaders are: John Louria and Brad Grupczynski The Apple Ambassador is John Louria |
