Back to sea

Or at least the bay. We are leaving the marina at long last tomorrow morning assuming nothing else breaks and plunges me back into maintenance mode (I was rudely interrupted by the bilge alarm due to a leak from the generating cooling line this afternoon). We will be heading up the Chesapeake Bay towards St Mary's city close to where Ruth grew up and and should be moored close to her brother Rory's house in time for her Birthday bash at the weekend. Lots of things accomplished on the boat during the month's stay (other than reducing the thickness of my wallet); these include reinforcing the bowthruster tunnel, installing a new chain stripper, repairing the keel, adding a coat or two of bottom paint, installing a new depth/speed gauge, a forward looking sonar plus lots of internal wiring and minor updates. It will be nice to be back sailing and anchoring in nice quiet bays for a few days......
