I'm still recuperating from a stroke I suffered in May 2005.

Here's an update. I still use a cane about 5/8ths of the time (stairs without handrails, uneven terrain, or places I've never been before and doesn't know what to expect), and walks with a limp without it, but she gets around well. Tired, but well enough.

Still no use of the right arm/hand, although the acupuncture is helping. My arm feels as if it's waking up from having "fallen asleep" with the concomitant weird prickly/tingly sensations (especially when touched).

I could live with the cane, if I could only regain the use of my arm. Some things - like sewing which I greatly enjoyed - are near impossible to accomplish one handed.
