HRRC NX 11 goes on the Beacon Line 4/9/01

HRRC NX 11 -April 9, 2001 The train in addition to its normal duties, had to go west on the Metro North's Beacon line to Dykemans to bring back two loaned difco dump cars. It is believed that these cars will be used in conjuction with the track work being done at Hawleyville. The Hawleyville Transload Center is being constructed there. Work will include the main line being shifted to the north. The Beacon Line has been out of service by Metro North for some time. This is the first time HRRC has been down this line in quite some time. A rare event.
