This blog has become boring.


Please be patient. I've been sick.

I have very few regular readers, but those who are inform me that they come to my blog for "the laughs."

The site meter I have set up confirms that NOTHING I have to say that is serious is making any impact on the web hits. Hmmm.

Well, for the past three weeks I've been fighting a chest virus (cough, cough, hack) that has left me (a) exhausted and (b) with a sense of humor that is below par even by my meager standards.

In other words, I'm just not funny. Even to myself. I've tried to participate in caption contests: nothing. The elements of a really good joke are there, but I can't draw the connection.

Argh.

The doc says that this virus is supposed to last 3-4 weeks. Apparently I am the "4" variety. If I stay on schedule, then by next Monday my humor should rise to its previously abysmal - yet satisfying - level of performance.

In the meantime, please be patient. I'm sick(er).
