Negotiate with terrorists? Bad idea.

After the hostages' release, Taliban spokesman Qari Yousef Ahmadi told the Associated Press that the group plans to abduct more foreigners.
"We will do the same thing with the other allies in Afghanistan, because we found this way to be successful," he said.

Of course, this problem was already discussed in Babylon 5.

*** Note: I don't mean at all to criticize the decisions of the S. Korean government, nor of the aid workers. They each did what they believed to be right.

The Taliban, on the other hand, are an entirely different matter.
