The latest Baptist flap

And a few of my comments.

Dwight McKissic, trustee of Southwestern Baptist Theological seminary, gave this chapel sermon. It was streamed live on the web (note: the iTunes podcast link doesn't work).
Then people looked on this web site to download a webcast. Usually the webcast is up soon after the sermon, but instead, a bit later than usual, this notice appeared on the web site instead.
Lots of bloggers got upset about this. Most of them thought that the sermon ought to be treated like all of the others and be put on line.
A couple of newspapers wrote articles about it, such as the Dallas Morning News.
Eventually, Rev. McKissic sent this letter to SWBTS president Paige Patterson.

I am reminded of the words of George Banks in Mary Poppins. "Kindly do not cloud the issue with facts!"
And, of course, the immortal words of Elmer Fudd:
