Marriage, Divorce, Sunday School and BIble lessons

Next Sunday I have to teach on Hosea. This will be tough.

I teach freshmen in our church's high school youth group. Our lesson next week is on Hosea.

Hosea is a story about a broken family, betrayal, and ultimately a story of God's grace in the face of our own betrayal - our lives of deliberate sin against God.

We just promoted our kids, so I have a brand new class, about 10-15 kids. Several have strong families, and it shows. However, some have broken families, and some are in the process of breaking.

As an engineering teacher and a 40-something guy, I am just a bit overwhelmed on how to teach these kids on this topic. So, while I study and pray this week, any of you pastoral types (or even you sensible person with worthwhile comments), please feel free to comment and advise etc.

Meanwhile, I'll get to my homework. (Yep, teachers have their own homework, don't they.)
