If the press didn't tell us, who would? That's the problem.
The news coverage of this election is abysmal,
whether "fair and balanced" or not. The topics
covered?
- Who raised more money. - Who's ahead in the polls. - Today's gripes and claims by the candidates. - If desired, a refutation of today's gripes and claims by one or more candidates. Has anyone actually evaluated what these guys stand for? Has anyone actually evaluated their records? Nope, they just regurgitate talking points, whether those of the candidates or those of their news network. It's been like this since I started voting, so I shouldn't be surprised. On the other hand, when I started voting (1980), there were no 24 hour TV news programs. They've got the time to talk about it, but they don't. Bleah. Posted: Sat - October 4, 2008 at 06:14 PM | | |
