Cancer update: Dec 1 2008 (disappointing news)


The results from last week's biopsy are in.  As is typical, my prediction of what was coming next was wrong.  Two ulcers were biopsied, and both show the lymphoma to be present.

I have informed Dr. Graves (local oncologist) and Dr. Forero's team (UAB oncologist), and a treatment plan is being developed.  I'll write more detail when I have it.  For now

- yes, we do need prayers.
- I'm feeling ok except for a bit of stomach ache.  With 7 ulcers, you'd expect a bit of that.
- Viva's parents are with us for the next month, and they're really great at taking care of things!

Update UAB oncology has identified another study for me. I'm waiting for the start up to get scheduled, but they're working on it.
