Stranger Than Fiction

I am not a fan of Will Ferrell. I don't like his humor. I didn't like Talladega Nights (However (in)accurate it was about rural Alabama culture).
I AM a fan of Emma Thompson. I love her. Oh yes. From Sense and Sensibility to Harry Potter to Henry V (ooo, Kenneth Branagh). And let's not forget Remains of the Day!
When you put these two together there will be one of two outcomes. Either I'll love the movie, or Will Ferrell will infect it with the humor that I find to be... non-humorous. Or something like that.

Since this movie got above a 9.0, I think you know what happened. Emma Thompson was pretty much amazing. She played a very good nervously strange author who enjoyed killing her main characters. And I don't want to give anything away, but who in their right mind would go to a hospital to research how people die? It's quite good.

I almost forgot. Maggie Gyllenhall was in this movie. I like her, too.
I'll probably buy this one. It's a keeper.
