Cheaper by the Dozen/Steve Martin versionKind of disappointing.
The only thing this "remake" has to do with the
original film is that
(1) The title (2) The number of kids. Otherwise, it's an opportunity for Steve Martin to do the family thing again (after Father of the Bride, which was good - oh wait a minute, wasn't that a remake movie, also?), and for Hillary Duff to be ... Hillary Duff(*). The plot change wouldn't be such a bother if the original film hadn't been based on a true family story. Yup, the original film was actually based on things that really happened. Not this one. Not even close. I think Adam and Viva liked it o.k., but it's not one I think I'll watch a second time. (*) Disclaimer: I do not know Hillary Duff, so I can't say that she's acting like Hillary Duff. However, she still looks like Hillary Duff, I think. Posted: Sat - June 19, 2004 at 01:16 AM | | |

Daddy rates movies from 1 (lousy) to 5 (really good). Kayla rates them from 7-12 or with an "AahHh!" which means that it's not good enough for a 7.
