Dragonworld

Who would name their pet "Yowler?" But I liked it.

This film is definitely intended for families with young children. Fortunately for me, I had young children when I first saw it. Ok, it's stupid and the animation is akin to "Jason and the Argonauts," but I like this movie.

Why do I like it? Ok, the good guys win, the bagpipes play an important role in the film, and you've got the old Scottish castle, and so forth.

Actually, the real reason I like the movie happens in its first 10 minutes. A five year old boy lost both of his parents in a car crash, and went to Scotland to live with his gruff grandfather.
"I miss them grandpa" he said, sadly.
Grandpa softened. "You'll always miss them son. But it won't always hurt so."

Yeah, I miss some people too, but Grandpa was right. It won't always hurt so . That's good to know.

And life does go on - even if you're a boy with a pet dragon.
