Fearless



Jet Li's last martial arts film because, as he said in the featurette, "I'm 42 years old." I remember 42. I wasn't in quite as much pain at the time, but I don't think I could have done what Jet Li did in this movie.

Beautiful scenery, amazing fighting sequences, and a personal journey to recognize who the true opponent really is.

"Inspired by" a true story, which means that it has nothing to do with the original person., and that upset some of his descendants.

I enjoyed this one, but I can't watch it again. I tried, and the film affects me like Amadeus: it's painful for me to watch a man destroy himself. True, the character in Fearless did eventually turn around, but at terrible cost.
