Finding Neverland


Saw this on DVD at a friend's house

I laughed, I cried, it moved me.

"Inspired by true events" which means the story is fictional, but doesn't have a "happily every after" ending. I really liked this one. Johnny Depp maintains his standard of "quirky" roles, and the film is well done in sets, plot, acting, and writing. I laughed hard, and toward the end had to ask somebody if I was going to cry. (I cried in Spiderman when Aunt May was in the hospital. Of course, my mom was dying of cancer at the time, so you can cut me some slack on that.)

This is worth seeing.



Update Be sure to watch the out takes. The poor girl playing Peter Pan keeps being swung into the wall. "Thump!"
