A Midsummer Night's Dream

Ok, this isn't actually a review of the movie, but of a local stage play. They were done differently. But the movie was good too. Actors aged from 7 to 16. Well done, all. (I thought some of these guys were 17?)

I stole all of this from http://blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.view&friendID=7493826&blogID=27267167&Mytoken=20050521211131 written by Mac, who played Oberon in the play. I really liked this production.

What thou seest when thou dost wake, do it for thy true loves take....

This week has been uber busy, with school ending and then my play, A Mid Summer Night's Dream. I was Oberon and I have some pretty good pictures from dress rehersal.

This is the Entire Cast

These are The Fairies

Of course, as one would suspect, I am the KING OF THE FAIRIES

Me and two of my Queen's Minions

These are Two of four little fairies I had the pleasure of a working with, they were great as actors and people, I'm sad today is our last show

this is one of my head shots

[Back to Hodel commentary] I really enjoyed the show. Mac did a great job of being the serious and royal king of the faeries, who expected to be obeyed and to be obeyed NOW! He and Puck, (played by Will) were, I think, preferable to the king and Puck in the movie. Will played Puck as a constantly mischievous little imp. He was very convincing - but was he really acting? :-)

Like Mac, I am sad that the show ended so soon. Well done, all of you!
