Mark Gilmore had 42 carries for 201 yards while scoring 20 points, the most points scored by a Canton football player in the Canton-Stoughton series. Brian Sullivan added a 22 yard field goal while Canton quarterback John Wright hit Brad Breheney for an 8 yard TD pass to account for Canton's scoring. The total points (54) was the most combined points scored in the Canton/Stoughton series.
