The Black Knights came out hitting hard from the start of the game and they surged ahead of the Bulldogs led by Joe Power and John O'Donnell. The Canton team fought hard, but it was an uphill battle. The only scoring opportunity came when Rick Minkwitz took a pass from Quarterback Bobby Gibson 33 yards for a touchdown. Bulldog Rick Beaubien was voted outstanding player of the game for Canton.
