Canton 6 Stoughton 0

Fans will remember this game as one of the wettest and muddiest ever. Both Canton and Stoughton came into the game with strong teams. Canton (6-2) needed to win in order to ensure them their best season in 15 years. It was the mud that saved Canton at the end of the game, as Jim Bolger jumped on a fumble in a scramble of players in the mud. Bulldog quarterback John Ihlenburg was voted the outstanding player of the game.
