Is there a psychogical system that paralles our biological immune system?

Why do 2 yo children get up to walk again after they fall down and hurt themselves? Why do 7 yo children get on their bikes again after they fall down and skin their knee? Why do people do risky things that put their physical safety on the line? ARE WE ALL STUPID?
Why can't we seem to get along with each other and end up blowing each other away? Is this natural or learned? Do we act like our ape ancestors or are we totally different and made in the image of GOD?
Are you willing to get up on a 200 foot Redwood tree and stay there for two years with only a tarp to protect you? Well, someone did! WAS SHE STUPID OR OUT TO PROVE A POINT?
