And local coordinates start at the upper left of the window. Correct? Then I tried to figure out globalLoc (Pg 71 Lang Guide) and tried the example. Then I tried localLoc (Pg 86) and the example, & really got confused. As usual the manual was useless (a syntax, but NO explanation what happens. Could someone please explain how the graphic moves when I use the examples on Pg 71 & pg 86? Much appreciated, S. Their purpose and syntax are described in the manual accurately. Without a description of what the expected behavior was, I am unable to determine how they failed to work for your purpose. If you simply want to move a graphic, using straight local coordinates without converting anything is probably the most straightforward way to go, and the coordinates for objects within a window are always given in local coordinates, so you will not need to convert them. Windows, however, are described in global coordinates, and it may be useful to convert global to local if you want to adjust an object within a window releative to another window, for example.
