From: blanch@cc.umanitoba.ca (Marcel Blanchaer) Newsgroups: comp.sys.mac.hypercard Subject: SC: Adding fonts to projects Date: Thu, 16 Nov 1995 06:46:21 -0600 I need a special front of the Geneva family available when a user runs my standalones. Question: Should that font be placed in the DATA fork or in the RESOURCES fork of standalones? Thanks. From: ijenkins@info.curtin.edu.au (Nick Jenkins) Newsgroups: comp.sys.mac.hypercard Subject: Re: SC: Adding fonts to projects Date: 20 Nov 1995 09:55:22 +0800 If you stick the font in the resource fork of the document the system handles it and it works fine. You might have to issue the 'open resources' command in SuperCard but I can't remember. -- Nick Jenkins, Multimedia Programmer n.jenkins@info.curtin.edu.au Curtin University of Technology http://info.curtin.edu.au/~ijenkins/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Don't look back, the lemmings are gaining on you" From: sothundr@seanet.com (Fourth World Embassy (Washington)) Newsgroups: comp.sys.mac.hypercard Subject: Re: SC: Adding fonts to projects Date: Sat, 18 Nov 1995 11:57:03 -0800 In the *resource* fork. Make sure you copy all the necessary "parts", which should be one or more of the following: 'FONT', 'NFNT', 'sfnt', 'FOND'. You'll need to check the names of the resources to know which ones to copy. -- Ken Ray Fourth World Embassy (Washington) HyperMedia Development Tools Orders: 1-800-288-5825 Subject: Re: SC: Adding fonts to projects Date: Thu, 23 Nov 95 11:56:17 EST Newsgroups: comp.sys.mac.hypercard From: BKJ_Productions@bmugbos.org (BKJ Productions) Wouldn't it be a safer idea to use Font/DA Mover and Option-Open the Standalone? It's less messy that way for me. I would be cautious in using any font that had the same number/name as Geneva or Chicago; you could get into trouble that way. --Brian K.
