Subject: Apple*Script* and SuperCard 2.5?

Ugh. It's been more than a year since I've done any work with Apple Events, and I find that I've forgotten a whole bunch of stuff. Afraid also that I've become spoiled by AppleScript support in HyperCard -- I can write a lot of code in AppleScript, but I'm frankly not too sure how to convert all that to raw Apple Events...
SuperCard 2.5 doesn't support AppleScript as cleanly as HyperCard -- I've got a few, very, very simple scripts for talking with Netscape, and I'm wondering if somebody can help me convert them into syntax that SuperCard can send...?
To wit, stuff like this:
tell application "Netscape 1.12"
GetURL [the URL]
end tell
tell application "Netscape 1.12"
copy (item 1 of (list windows)) to windID
copy (get window info of windID) to info
return (item 1 of info) & return & (item 2 of info)
end tell
TH
(Who's feeling pretty dense these days...)

Ihave just finished a n XCMD that will allow you to send your AppleScript script with SuperCard. I'm not qite ready to post it. It is rough - for a personal project. It will be sharware for awhile. Then depending on interest who knows.

Terry,
You can utilize the AppleScript for SuperCard addition for SuperCard. A fully functional demo is available via ftp from...
and also from a Web page...
The demo allows you to try your scripts out from within it, unchanged, and
if you want to purchase it, it is only 44 bucks from Fourth World.
Hope this helps.

SuperCard provides no built-in support for AppleScript, only Apple
events. Fourth World offers an XCMD package which will allow you to edit,
compile and execute AppleScript from within SuperCard, and have SuperCard
recieve the AppleScript equivalents of the "evaluate" and "do script"
events.
AppleScript for SuperCard is available directly from Fourth World for
US$44, which includes a lifetime license without restriction on the number
of projects you use it in.
Please feel free to contact me if I can provide more info.
