(three levels). Responsible for new curricullum planning in
English
Composition I and II. Developing Course Management
Software
(CMS) as online supplement to whole English department
curriculum. Proposed post-graduate curriculum for continuing
education of high school and junior high school EFL teachers in
Hokkaido (combined online and face-to-face course
components). Planned and directed annual CALL
teacher
training workshops for Hokkaido-area teachers.
- Department of Regional Management:
Taught in the masters program of regional management. Course
title: Theory & Practice of Intercultural Communicaiton.
- ICT Working Group for Foriegn Language Eduation:
Chair of a research committee to design hardware, software and
rooms for CALL and blended language learning rooms.
- International Exchange
Committee:
Designed, coordinated and accompanied exchange programs to Korea,
Thailand, Malaysia, and Canada. Supervised intensive English
programs abroad hosted by Monash University (Australia), University of
California-Davis (USA), Pacific Lutheran University (USA) and Essex
University (UK). Wrote and supervised university brochures in
English, Chinese and Korean language versions. Led
orientation courses preparing students for five-month
overseas
curriculum.
- Entrance Examination Committee:
Wrote
examination questions for listening comprehension, reading, grammar,
vocabulary, and conversation usage. Evaluated reliability of
questions based on item faciltity and item discrimation criteria.

month intensive English program for freshmen at the University of
Washington. Designed joint learning projects between foreign
exchange students and Kokusai Rikai students.

Developed new curriculum for Japanese language studies for foreign
students and a self-assess CALL center for Japanese learning.
Assisted opening new programs with University of London, University of
Washington, University of Massachusetts, University of Hong Kong,
University of Calgary, Idaho State University, and Northeastern
University. Wrote exchange agreements, contacted professors,
hosted visitors and negotiated programs.

Committee: Wrote English brochures and manuals for public
relations and new student orientation. Coordinated

student orientations, training programs for tutors of foreign students,
and selection interviews and counseling for students going abroad.
