U of R Biology "memory": Dr. Singh telling us on our first day of Biology 102: "Look around - half of you will fail this class". Hmmmm. A piece of advice for new biology students: Work hard and play hard. The people you meet during your undergrad will be your friends for life. Spend time together in the library, the lab, the lab cafe, the bar, the ball field, ...! Oh yeah - take opportunities to participate in science-related activities outside of general course work.
