Who is Tony Obermeit?

I'm currently (2006) a Principal Applications Engineer with Oracle Corporation. Have held a variety of roles in my 13 years with Oracle. Including Pre-sales Consultant, Trainer, Education Centre Manager, Client Services Manager, Applications Architect and Senior Development Manager.

I've been working with Java since 1997 and am an advocate for Test Driven Development. I've also worked with a variety of languages over the years since joining the computer industry in the early 1980s. These languages include Cobol, Basic, Dataflex, SQL, PL/SQL, Perl and Delphi.

I'm a member of the Australian Computer Society (macs) and the Queensland Java Users Group and have presented on I.T. related topics in and around Brisbane, Australia and overseas.
