What Can You Do?

• Avoid products containing CFCs or that require CFCs in their manufacture. Ask the salesperson or the manufacturer if you are unsure.
• Don’t go out in the sun without adequate protection, including a broad brimmed hat, approved sunglasses, clothes and sunscreen.
• Avoid spending long periods in the sun.
• Lobby your local member of parliament and also the Minister for the Environment to phase out ozone depleting chemicals more quickly.
• Lobby government for more funding to go to people researching environmental problems such as ozone depletion.
• Discuss these things with your friends and family.
