Black Jack Davey - Ballad Singing and Banjo Picking Sample
A sample of the Black Jack Davy song, one of the
early folk ballads documented in the Child Ballads collection as the Gypsy
Laddie and dates the first printed version to around 1720. There are numerous
variants to this old ballad and in this Appalachian version you can hear Mary
