Coming back...again

No significance to that quote, just been playing the CD in the car a lot up and down the highway.

So . . . where were we?

Oh, yeah. Well, the work load should be stabilizing somewhat over the next week or so. Or exploding completely out of control. (I figure, my luck, the latter. Oh well. On the plus side, I get to play sysadmin on a brand new Xserve: RAD!) Que sera, sirrah!

I was hoping this hiatus, this drawing back a bit, would provide me with some perspective. And/or possibly insight. But it ain't happened yet. Keep hoping, I guess, dumb Spiro Sparrow.

I'm tempted to say that after what — three years? — I have become somewhat bored with the whole thang. But that wouldn't be exactly right. Bored with being bored might come closer, but still...nah, that ain't it, either.

I guess I'm concerned that we're not going — or trying to go — far enough.

I mean, I was hoping we could create something startling, not just a "noddy" (ahem) day-glo version to compete with "Prograph Retro" (a.k.a. Marten). You know, something to excite people and get them involved.

The less-than-lukewarm reception has proven a bit wearing as well, I guess.

Ah well. Give me another week and maybe I'll be back to normal, and everything will be fine, everything just a duck off the backwaters.

???
