Lunts, called <a href="http://arxiv.org/abs/math/0012061" rel="external">Coherent Sheaves on Configuration Schemes</a>. It's about extending the usual notion the<br />bounded derived category of coherent sheaves on a scheme to a configuration scheme, which is a collection of schemes, some of which have morphisms between them. The case mostly considered in the paper is when the morphisms are closed embedding but you can also replace them by affine morphisms. We were unsuccessful because of many factors:<br /><br />1) The onramp onto I-95 was closed. We followed a detour that took us in a huge circle. That was lame.<br />2) We finally found a way onto the highway but then missed the exit and had to backtrack. That was pretty lame.<br />3) When we finally got to the rock gym we were unable to climb because Hjalti is 17 and you have to be 18 to be able to climb without a parent. That was SUPER lame. I'll be a TF for Math 18, and attending Algebraic Geometry with Prof. Braverman, my wife will be taking courses at RISD, my older daughter will be starting her first year at Lincoln and my youngest daughter will mostly be taking in the world around her, being only 4 months old!<br /><br />As most math enthusiasts know, Perelman probably proved the Poincar&eacute; conjecture (some time ago) but is know turning down the Fields Medal for it... along with a $1,000,000 prize from the Clay Institute. Who ever said that Russians are crazy must have been right! We spent the following<br />night at the hospital and got back home Sunday morning. She's a big and healthy<br />girl, weighing 4575 gr (just over 10 lb) and measured 53 cm (just under 21"). She<br />slept most of the day -- so she could stay awake the whole night! She is sleeping<br />again now, like a little angel!<br /><br />Emma is doing good and she was so awesome during labour -- I know I would<br />never be able to go through what she went through. She was in total control and<br />didn't get any anesthesia the whole time.
