I went to a climbing competition at Carabiner's rock gym. And I
sucked. Big time. Hope I can redeem myself in
the next comp... But the rock gym is pretty
cool. It's huge, with endless rope routes and a
pretty descent bouldering area.

Climbing in the RIRG

I tried to go climbing yesterday evening at the
Rhode Island Rock Gym with my
brother-in-law, Hjalti. We were unsuccessful
because of many factors:
1) The onramp onto I-95 was closed. We followed a detour that took us in a huge circle. That was lame.
2) We finally found a way onto the highway but then missed the exit and had to backtrack. That was pretty lame.
3) When we finally got to the rock gym we were unable to climb because Hjalti is 17 and you have to be 18 to be able to climb without a parent. That was SUPER lame. I mean, what the hell, OMG, OMG!
