We are back to the states and looking forward to starting the semester! I'll be a TF for Math 18, and attending Algebraic Geometry with Prof. Braverman, my wife will be taking courses at RISD, my older daughter will be starting her first year at Lincoln and my youngest daughter will mostly be taking in the world around her, being only 4 months old!

As most math enthusiasts know, Perelman probably proved the Poincaré conjecture (some time ago) but is know turning down the Fields Medal for it... along with a $1,000,000 prize from the Clay Institute. Who ever said that Russians are crazy must have been right! You can read a nice article about the whole thing in the New Yorker.
