Daren Carlson's Vintage Rupp Magnum 250

Daren's Rupp 250 Magnum Liquid

This is my favorite of Daren's sleds. It is a 1976 Magnum 250 that Daren restored in 1999. The styling is a head turner even next to more modern sleds. The sled is all correct, and has only been ridden on the snow once, last winter.

Here's Daren getting ready to warm up the 250 in January 2001. It was the first time since he completed it that he had started it.

This is a mean front view of the 250 with the hood removed. The hood is attached with dzus fasteners and is shown here removed completely. There are no hinges.

This is the 250's Liquid Cooled Xenoah engine (made by Fuji). Note, the plugs are out because it didn't start easily that day, but when it finally started, it sounded very healthy.
