The CIBC bank in Barrington was the setting for a screwy scrap last week as Bubble Gum, his fiancee, her daughter, and Bobo squared off inside. Rumour has it that Bubble Gum was signing Bobo's girlfriends' name to her checks and using them as "pay". When Bobo went to open a different account, all Hell broke loose, and Bubble Gum was "grabbed by the skirf". In another incident, the police visited Bubble Gum's house after he reported a bottle of mouthwash missing. They vowed to "Scope" it out.

| As a reflection of the growing gridlock on the Hawk Road, a stop sign was mysteriously put up last week at the intersection of Fish Plant Rd. There were no witnesses to the erection of the bilingual politically-correct sign, but when quizzed on their knowledge of French, 96% of Hawkers replied, "Voulez-vous coucher...how's that go again?". |
With the closing of the 03-04 lobster season, the summer has truly begun. There's a car stuck in Carter's driveway, Edwin's almost got his siding on the barn, and Lionel's added a row of daffodils across his lawn. Every truck has an ATV on back, and Tim Horton's has traffic controllers. With all this spare time, The Hawk Road anticipates increased feedback from you the reader. Rocker Matt Bone promoted his latest single "That's When I Knew" on the air-waves of CKBW last week. Sources say the member of 22 Ends had a tough time elbowing through groupies who had caught wind of the event at the studio's main door, and had to be ushered through a back alley when the interview concluded. The band has a busy summer schedule, and the tour dates will be provided on the site regularly. It is rumoured that Bone will be holding a brief autograph session this month at V&S.
