School's In!
.................. |
| ...class dismissed!
Now that you can walk home from the Old School House in a pinch and not get frost-bite, the crowd is no longer limited to the VLT gamers and George Smith. Saturday found the Scooty brimming over with action. Corey Atkinson was "forcefully" shown the door by Big Dave, cops prowled like hungry lions, and ladies from the on-going softball tournament had every base loaded. With the recent opening of Tompa's and The Seadeck, there's no shortage of places for the Young Guns to drown their sorrows.

Cast Away! |
| Grab your gill-net gear, Hirtle's Pond will soon be stocked with trout again. The small "lake on the coast" is a convenient fishing escape for anyone who dislikes flies, walking, and getting "dumped on" at McGills. The average size of the trout will be about 8 inches, rumoured to be the same average as another Hawk Road statistic. |
The Hawk Road will soon breach the 10,000 hit plateau, and in response to your continued interest will host a chat room and message forum after the lobstering season ends next Monday. All material submitted by you the viewer to hawkroad@mac.com is appreciated, and suggestions on how to improve the site are encouraged. These are your pages to shape as you wish, and anyone wanting to post editorials, or "yarns", of their own is a friend to the Hawk Road and the foundation of a great site. |

| Guard Your Coast! |
The Tide N Knots was struck in the stern last week at West Head Wharf, requiring a half-hour of welding on the the overhang. Witnesses Andy, Landon, and Judd Hunt stated that a Coast Guard vessel struck the new 45-footer after approaching the wharf at a higher speed than necessary. Unaware that anyone was present, Coast Guard officials say a pollock the size of Moby Dick lept from the sea, landing on the overhang. Captain Tim Smith feels that didn't happen at all.
