Love In An Elevator!
                 ..................
Hospital Attack!

Hawk resident Lovitte Blades became trapped in the Yarmouth hospital elevator for 40 minutes last week during a routine visit for job-related water-testing. Blades is said to have a general anxiety about elevators, and a day later he suffered a heart attack while at his home. Sources say that because Blades had just been dealt pocket jacks during online poker and the Red Sox were beating the Jays, the elevator experience was the obvious culprit. The Hawk Road wishes him a speedy recovery.

Bambito Gang Foiled!
The thugs behind the theft of some lobsters and a motor at J&J Fisheries a few weeks back have been detained by officials. Known only as Andy Bambito and Carson the Arson, the two were engaged in a scuffle with local rival One Man Gang when they were picked up; two lobster picks, a crate hook, and a badly beaten Ricky Marsh were also seized.
The end of the 2004 lobster season is only two weeks away, and tempers are beginning to flare. The year produced less than favorable results for most, and Barry Nickerson was one of many to let their frustrations out on the radio set. Referring to frequently getting "cut-off" and "dumped on" as the source of his beef, Nickerson also stated he was sick of having to chase the Bambito Gang away from his buoys.

Birds: Stay in car!
With the addition of a parking lot and a sparkling new sign, the scene has been set for Bird-Mania at the end of the Hawk Road this summer. Priced at $10,000, the Cape Sable Island Important Bird Area Action Committee (C.S.I.I.B.A...where was I?) has shelled out big bucks to enable visitors to watch the birds, among other things, from the comfort of their car. Neighbour Shawn Sears stated that a van's been there since Thursday, and birders have been seen sipping from flasks behind their visors.
