I am SO buying this 'scoop'!
...makes it easy to dig into even hard ice cream,
and pops out these fun cylinders of fatty
goodness.
Have you heard of the Wii Fit?

I came across these 3 McDonald's stories or campaigns
that I thought were brilliant:
1. (Not) Racist.
First the ad--
Then the fine print-- :)
2. Open Late
An ad you see only at night?
3. Makeover, makeover...
McDonald's UK redesigned their interiors, but didn't stop there--the staff have new uniforms, as well.

So somewhere between February and July, I've squeezed
the equivalent of 42 extra work days (that's a month
and a half)! I love my job, but can't say that I'm not
disappointed with the compensation--the low salary for
the workload, quality I'm producing (I'm not gonna lie
or see a need to be humble about it), and the stress
I'm under (I have to worry about things getting done on
my evenings, weekends, and holidays...sometimes even in
my sleep?). Top it off with negligible benefits... and
thus far, failure to properly compensate for my
overtime (I've taken 7 days off to make up for that 45
so far) as per my contract which states 1.5 hours for
every hour I work overtime.
Is it a function of working for a small, start-up? Or is it providing cheap labour, and just being ripped off? I've yet to figure that one out.
I've sent a letter expressing my concerns, so we'll see what happens. When I submitted my overtime this week, apparently everyone was shocked that I'd been working so much (um...okay...) and I was told that perhaps we can come to a compromise because they can't afford to give me 35 days off on top of the remaining holiday days I have left. ...to resubmit my overtime hours only with what was 'essential' and 'required' overtime. (Because, you know... I love working for fun in all of my spare time).
35 remaining overtime days = 7 business weeks (5 days each) = almost 4 paycheques, and we'll call it even?

*sigh* As you can tell, I'm kind of over blogging. So
much effort, and I just don't have the time to browse
my RSS feeds anymore, let alone time sitting down to
blog about it myself. Still, sometimes things are so
good / fun / interesting, that you just can't resist
documenting them. I guess that's what I'll be blogging
about now.
